Subject: Please support our LGBTQ affirmative research among Latinos

Dear Eastern North Carolina LGBT Commuity,

We are researchers at the University of Massachusetts Boston’s (UMass Boston) LGBTQ Research Team and are conducting an LGBTQ-affirmative study on life experiences of LGBTQ people. Please help us recruit participants by either forwarding this email to members of your organization or share via social media the description of our study (below). Our findings will help develop culturally sensitive HIV prevention and intervention programs to help Latino men who have sex with men or who identify as gay. We would be happy to share our findings with your group if you let us know that you are interested.

The University of Massachusetts Boston’s LGBTQ Research team is conducting a brief LGBTQ-affirmative study on safe sex practices of Latino men who have sex with men or who identify as gay. The study takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and anyone who is 18 or older and identifies as Latino and has sex with men or identifies as gay is eligible to participate. You will have the chance to be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card! You can access the survey at https://www.psychdata.com/s.asp?SID=151006

The study has been approved by our university Institutional Review Board. Thank you for your consideration in supporting our LGBTQ-affirmative research. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at latinosexstudy@gmail.com.
