Randy Allen Toler sent a message to the members of Pitt County Board of Commissioners Protest for Gay Rights.

Subject: Protest tomorrow morning...
Alright everyone! The moment is upon us!
Tomorrow morning we will give Pitt County a dose of reality. In events like this, you never really know what to expect. Keep a cool head and please remember that we are representing our community at large...
People will stare at us, because we dare to stand and be seen - let them. People will honk and give us the finger as they drive by, on the way to drop off their 4 year olds at the Christian daycare - let them.
Tomorrow is not about us; tomorrow is about equality. Tomorrow is about telling Greenville that we want to be able to make medical decisions if our life-partners are incapacitated. Tomorrow is about telling Greenville that we want the same rights to adopt children, as the crack-mom has to give birth to them. Tomorrow is not about us - tomorrow is about all of the pre-teens growing up in Pitt county who turn to self-destruction, rather than face a life of hatred and ignorance enforced by the very same Board of Commissioners that "serves" them.
So tonight as you're making signs, rainbow flags, and witty tee-shirts, remember the old song from the musical "Ragtime"....
"Go out and tell our story, let it echo far and wide. Make them hear you"
Faithfully yours,
Randy Toler
